Okay, here's the recipe for "bokkeumbap," or Korean fried rice:
Ingredients:
3.75 cups of cooked rice (preferably day-old rice)
Vegetable oil, two tablespoons
chopped onion, half
diced 1/2 cup of carrots
50 g of frozen peas
3 minced garlic cloves
a serving of soy sauce
1/fourth cup of oyster sauce
one teaspoon of gochujang (Korean red pepper paste)
50 ml of sesame oil
Black pepper, 1/4 teaspoon
2 sliced thin green onions
Instructions:
A big skillet should be heated at medium-high. Swirl the vegetable oil into the pan after adding it.
Stir-fry the carrots and onion cubes for two to three minutes, or until the vegetables are soft.
Stir-fry the frozen peas and garlic for one more minute after adding them to the pan.
Cooked rice should be added to the pan and stir-fried for 3 to 4 minutes, or until heated thoroughly.
Combine the soy sauce, oyster sauce, gochujang, sesame oil, and black pepper in a small bowl. After the rice is thoroughly covered, pour the sauce over it and stir-fry for an additional 1-2 minutes.
Stir-fry the green onions for another minute after adding them to the pan.
Enjoy your flavorful Korean fried rice while it's still hot!
