Here is how to make chicken shawarma:

Ingredients:

1 pound of skinless, boneless chicken thighs

Olive oil, 1/4 cup

1.5 tbsp. lemon juice

2 minced garlic cloves

1 teaspoon cumin, ground

1 teaspoon paprika

Ground turmeric, 1/2 tsp.

Ground coriander, 1/2 tsp.

To taste, add salt and pepper.

bread pita

A selection of toppings, including tzatziki sauce, diced tomatoes, lettuce, and onions

Instructions:

Olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, cumin, paprika, turmeric, coriander, salt, and pepper are all combined in a mixing dish. To make a marinade, thoroughly combine.

Toss the chicken thighs with the marinade until they are thoroughly covered. Cover the bowl and place it in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes and up to 4 hours.

Turn on the oven to 425 °F (220 °C). Use parchment paper to cover a baking sheet.

The chicken should be removed from the marinade and put on the baking sheet. Bake the chicken for 20 to 25 minutes, or until it is thoroughly cooked and gently browned.

Prepare the garnishes while the chicken bakes. In the microwave or oven, reheat the pita bread.

After the chicken has finished cooking, take it out of the oven and give it some time to rest. After that, cut it into tiny pieces.

Put some chicken and other ingredients for your shawarma on hot pita bread. Enjoy the pita bread after tightly rolling it!

Note: Alternatively, you may cook the chicken on a grill or in a skillet.
